Goddess Of Mountain by Lv Weichao

The Goddess in a garment made from ficus pumila and a waistband made from dodder, with a flowering branch in her hand, riding a red leopard, followed by a colorful leopard cat, came along the twisted mountain paths. She was waiting for her lover but her lover didn’t come. Then she went away sadly and desolately. Only crashes of thunders and cries of apes left in the mountain. This a song sacrificed to Goddess of Mountain created by the great poet Qu Yuan in ancient time. Today, such a moving legend is depicted into an exquisite fine brushwork with wisdom of contemporary artists, brush and ink techniques of literati and romanticism of poets. It shows the novel style and valuable artistic charm of contemporary artists on brush-ink language and expressiveness. The famous animalist Lv Weichao’s  new work Goddess Of Mountain is on show at“Neo-Orientalism And Post-Ink- Wash Spirit”  Exhibition from Jul.31 to Aug.11,2014 at Fine Arts Hall of Capital Museum.
